Enzure: How-to: - Sync Microsoft Edge and how to import bookmarks from Google Chrome

 

Sync Microsoft Edge

  1. Sign in to Microsoft Edge: Launch Microsoft Edge on your device. In the top-right corner, you'll find the profile icon (a silhouette of a person). Click on it and select "Sign in" from the drop-down menu.

  2. Sign in with your Microsoft Account (make sure you are not using anything else than your personal Formue account which typically is firstname.lastname@yourcompany.com
    Enter your Microsoft account email address and password, and click "Sign in."

  3. Enable Sync: Once you're signed in, click on the profile icon again, and this time select "Settings" from the menu. In the settings menu, click on "Profiles" on the left sidebar.

  4. Enable Sync Settings: In the "Sync" section, you'll find various options for synchronization. Make sure the toggle switch for "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" is turned on. You can also choose to sync other data like passwords, history, and open tabs if desired.

     

  5. Manage Bookmarks: You can manage your bookmarks by clicking on the bookmark icon (a star) in the Edge toolbar. From there, you can organize your bookmarks into folders, edit their names, delete bookmarks, and more. Any changes you make will be synced across all devices you are logged into.

Import Bookmarks from Google Chrome

  1. Open the Microsoft Edge browser on your computer.

  2. Access the Settings Menu by clicking on the three horizontal dots located in the top-right corner of the browser window. This will open the main menu.

  3. Open the "Settings" Menu from the main menu, scroll down and click on "Settings." It should be near the bottom of the menu.

  4. Access the "Import Browser Data" Option in the settings menu, click on "Profiles" located in the left sidebar. Then, click on the "Import browser data" link.

  5. Select Google Chrome as the Browser in the import options, choose "Google Chrome" from the list of available browsers. Ensure that the box next to "Favorites or bookmarks" is checked. You can also choose to import other data like browsing history and saved passwords if desired.

  6. Click on the "Import" Button after selecting Google Chrome and the desired data to import, click on the "Import" button. Microsoft Edge will begin importing your bookmarks from Google Chrome.

  7. Verify Imported Bookmarks once the import process finishes, you should see a confirmation message. To check if your bookmarks have been successfully imported, click on the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner of Microsoft Edge and select "Favorites" from the menu. You should now see your imported bookmarks from Google Chrome.
