Update Windows 10
This guide shows how to update windows 10. It applies to Windows 11 although the appearance may look different.
Step 1:
From the start menu, press settings. From settings, press “Update & Security”
Step 2:
Press Windows Update and then check for updates.
There might be a button called “Show optional updates” these are usually from the manufacturer of the individual components. If an update requires a restart that is also fine.
Some of the optional updates are BIOS updates. These are updates from the manufacturer of the computer. These update the underlying firmware. For these updates, the charger MUST be connected at all times and turning off the computer during a BIOS update can corrupt the computer rendering it useless. These updates are usually called “manufacturer name” - Firmware or Bios followed by version number.
