Clear Windows Credentials

This guide shows how to clear windows credentials. Doing this can be helpful if for instance an office program cannot connect to the server (usually this is Outlook) or cannot sign in. For example Teams.

To do this, do the following steps.

 

Step 1:
From a Windows computer, press start (the windows button down in the left corner), search for “control panel”, and enter.

Step 2:
When you are in the control panel, press the dropdown menu in the top right corner and select small icons. This is necessary to show additional options in the control panel.

Step 3:
Afterwards, select “Credentail Manager”

Step 5:
Select “Windows Credentials”, press the arrow to show additional info, and then press “Remove”.
Sometimes there is more than one for OneDrive. This can also be deleted.

Doing this can result in the user being signed out.

After this, restart the computer and try using the program that had issues.
